Nope! You can just simply bring in your computer right away to our shop, no appointment necessary. We operate on a first come first serve basis, but we do offer Rushed Service if you need your computer back right away. Appointments are only necessary for inhouse or on-site support.
For desktop computers, all you need to bring in is the tower (cables, monitors, keyboards, and mouse are not needed). If it’s an “All in One” computer with a built in screen we ask for the power plug.
For laptops, please be sure to bring in the charger. We do not need your laptop case.
Also, if you are having a problem with a specific device (ex. your computer speakers aren’t working) please bring in that device.
If you bring in your computer to our shop, our basic diagnosis is completely FREE! Right after you’ve dropped your computer at our shop we will call you with a diagnosis as soon as we can.
We always start with the free basic diagnosis but if your issue requires work beyond that, you will be notified and we will do our best to give you an upfront cost of the service fee.
Depending upon the nature of the problem, they can take anywhere from 1 up to 7 working days. Generally, if parts need to be ordered for a repair it can take approximately 3-5 working days sometimes 1-2weeks (if from abroad) for the parts to arrive and be fitted.
For easy parts replacement or software installation, yes you may wait at the office while we fix your computer. However when most of our techs are busy and if we are undermanned, We do not allow customers to wait while a repair is being carried out, this is due to health and safety concersns. And more importantly, repairs can take a few hours to complete and simply because providing quality service to our clients is still our number one priority.
– The customer comes into the store and books their computer for repair
– The technician takes the customers details, problem outline and takes a detailed inventory of all parts that came in with it.
– The customer is then given a receipt/job order form for the repair, this MUST be presented when claiming the computer
– Once the repair/diagnosis has been completed or should a Truservuce tech require further clarification or authorisation they will get in touch via the provided contact number or email.
– Once all the work is completed the computer can be collected during business hours

We do allow friends or family to collect a computer on your behalf if you are unable to make it, however, they must have one form of photo identification, the repair receipt and pay all outstanding repair costs, before we will release the computer.
Yes of course! We specialize in supporting small to medium sized businesses with all of their technology needs. We can do everything from the ground up if you are moving into a new office, consulting with initial network cabling, order and install new workstations or servers, or we can maintain your current computers and network and make sure you’re secured.
Payments can be done in-shop or online. We accept bank transfers, e-wallets, check, and cash payments at the shop.
We never remove or otherwise touch your data apart from for backup purposes (which we’ll always go over with you first.) We take data security very seriously and are trusted by large companies with their most sensitive data.
Yes, in many cases we can recover deleted data in house, and if we can’t we can refer you to a data recovery specialist. If you are in this predicament, we recommend you stop using the computer immediately. The more you use the computer after you deleted the files the more difficult it becomes and less likely we can achieve the results you desire. Again, stop using the computer immediately and bring it in to our shop right away for your best chances of recovery.
Yes, we work on Mac Laptops and Desktops for some hardware and software issues.
Truservice isn’t a retail store in the typical sense of the word, but we do stock a lot of parts that are needed for most of the repairs we do. This is to reduce waiting time for our repair jobs. However, if you are in need of a part, give us a call or stop in, we might just have what you’re looking for!
